Description
Evening-cruise with whale spotting along the coastline of “Isfjorden”, along locations such as “Fuglefjellet”, “Vestpynten”, “Bjørndalen”, Grumant and Coles Bay.
An abundance of birds in the local birdcliffs, curious seals, the drooping green gardens of Grumant and the pioneer stories of Svalbards coalmining history by Norwegians and Russians are some of the things we might come across.
Depending on the weather we aim to explore the local coastline for wildlife in general and whales in particular. This is a unique opportunity to experience the cacophony of birds around the bird cliffs and possibly spot whales.
In latter years encounters with whales such as minke whale, blue whale, humpbacks, fin whale or a school of beluga have been common on these locations.
